There was a time in the 1980s when Argentine and Chile of the 1980s were the world dreaded capital of enforced disappearances, people would suddenly disappear without any trace. Balochistan today is way ahead of them. It is fairly common for Baloch people to be abducted, tortured and killed by the Pakistani security forces. The Pakistani media then tries to cover up by branding them as insurgents and “terrorists” killed in an encounter with the security forces.
