World’s first all-electric communications satellites launched

SpaceX recently launched the world’s first all-electric communications satellites through medium-sized Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The satellites are fitted with lightweight,all-electric engines rather than conventional chemical propulsion systems. The only disadvantage with electric satellites is that it would take months to reach the orbit– 22,300 miles (35,800Km) above Earth.
